The heat has arrived, clothing becomes excessive, one can already make out the paradisiacal island from the airplane window, the jungle awaits, the nudist camping begins to fill up, internet ceases to become collapsed, and there are no longer long lines at the cinema…  It all comes together to allow the beginning of the erotic adventure of summer.

What nocturnal adventures can the tourist give into in a city where nobody knows her?  What uses can there be for a pair of handcuffs when one is not a police officer?  Where there are two, is there place for a third?  Why is it so excitingly dangerous that the most unconfessed desires come true?  Is it possible to feel a mortal coldness in the midst of a heat wave?   Entomologists who are not exactly looking for insects, nudists obsessed with clothing,  architects lost in the jungle in search for the most supreme excitation, belly-button collectors…, the protagonists of these sixteen tales succumb to the spell of that Eros who runs lose in summer.  And so the sixteen encounters narrated in this volume reveal the multiple faces of an eroticism exacerbated by the torrid summer atmosphere, that stimulates the depraved devil which we carry inside, that spurs desire until it becomes a ruin or a form of ecstasy, and that provokes perturbing and delicious mirages. 

Published two years after the success of Cuéntos eróticos de Navidad (Erotic Tales for Christmas), this book offers the reader the erotic possibilities of the opposite side of the climactic scale through sixteen stories, all published for the first time and written exclusively for this volume, signed by well-known Spanish and Latin American authors.  They have made this book, with a prologue by Luis G. Berlanga, director of the La Sonrisa Vertical collection, a notable literary exercise where there is room for the most varied styles and situations, tones and registers.  Because eroticism is something very serious, or festive and dreamy, or perverse, or completely natural, but always personal and, above all, very intimate.
