Madrid wants to be an Olympic city and, in order to make it popular, the mayor decides to organize a gymkhana for kids from all over the world: they must find the most beautiful place in the city.Valentina and Tomás set out to find it, they ask here and there, and quickly realize that it will not be as easy as they thought to win the gymkhana. In their search, they visit emblematic places, such as the Prado Museum, the Royal Palace, the Puerta de Alcalá or the Plaza Mayor. They often see children of other nationalities and sometimes decide to follow them, but it is precisely when they begin to look around on their own that they suddenly find the most beautiful spot in Madrid.

BIOGRAPHY

Anatxu Zabalbeascoa was born in Barcelona in 1966. She studied Journalism at Barcelona’s Autónoma University and Art History at the The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has written several volumes about art and architecture, as well as a novel and a book of short stories. She has been the curator of exhibitions such as Máscara y Espejo (Mask and Mirror - MACBA, 1997), and Minimalismos. Un signo de los tiempos (Minimalism: A Sign of the Times – Reina Sofía Museum, 2001). She has been a member of the jury for the Ciudad de Barcelona Prize, the Salon of Interior Design, and the Spanish National Prize for Photography. She writes in El País Semanal (EPS) as well as in the newspaper’s cultural supplement, Babelia, about architecture, design, and art.
